Irvington Preschool's open house is Saturday, March 1st, 10 am - 1 pm.

Irvington Preschool is a non-profit parent cooperative founded in 1955. The school is located in Irvington neighborhood on the corner of NE Knott and NE 15th Ave. Classes are held in a sunny classroom in Augustana Lutheran Church.

The preschool has two classes: the three-year-old 'Caterpillars' meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00. The four-year-old 'Butterflies' meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:30 to 12:30. Tuition for the 2007/2008 school year is $80 per month for the Caterpillar class and $120 per month for the Butterfly class. The preschool operates on a cooperative model, and all parents help in the classroom at least once a month and participate in the school operations and management.

Irvington Preschool is dedicated to providing a stimulating and creative learning environment that fosters the development of social skills and school readiness. The preschool values diversity and community involvement and strives to create a learning environment that is caring, inclusive, and fun. Children are provided a safe, healthy classroom, and the preschool is a certified An Eco-Healthy Child Care provider.
