Anatomy (pre-k)

Home > Teacher Sam's Blog > Anatomy (pre-k)

Today we had a surprise visitor!  Dr. Aoi came and showed us where in our body our lungs, heart and eye balls are as well as other organs.  Then she showed us a real eyeball, heart, lung and brains!  We pumped up the lungs through the trachea (sorry, no dictionary), saw the voice box, watched the muscle move the eyelid up and down, and opened the eye to see what keeps it round.  The rest of the day was rather tame, but we loaded cannons on ships, made bird feeders, mushed play dough, dressed up while matching shoes, hats and jackets, and built out own train track. Oh, and we poured and measured bird seed!  Thanks you Donna and Jacob!
